HOTEL WILDLIFE
A little herd of two dozen deer rest in the shade on the other side of the tennis courts.
Busy leaf-cutter ants, take flower petals back to their hole. They are farmers, growing their food – mold – on the vegetation they collect and store beneath the ground.
IGUANA WILDLIFE
Back at Casa Iguana, this large beetle flew into our room, sounding like a B-52 and startling us with it’s huge size.
ZINC
All roofs are made of zinc in the tropics, unless, for some reason you aren’t planning on using it to catch water. This zinc came on the Saturday afternoon barco, June 18 and was brought over to the Iguana beach in a small boat for easier unloading.
MOLLY MAKES IT TO NICARAGUA
Flying by herself, Molly braved the humiliation and confusion of International travel to come visit us and arrived in Managua on June 21st.

Bob met Molly in Managua and flew with her to Corn Island to catch the panga to Little Corn.

Molly enjoys the view from the tiny plane on her way across the country.

Molly enjoys the company of the Iguana dogs, with Maiko in her lap and Walker at her feet. Gizzie and Bucky look for ways to horn in on the action.
THE BABY
Maiko, the baby of this dog family, basks in Molly’s affection.
TINY SANATES
Two baby Great-tailed grackles hunker down in their nest, which has fallen from the tree onto the fence that surrounds the staff area.
Kimo took a great interest in the nestlings but was unable to find a way to take them as her own.
DOODIE
Doodie hangs out on our porch on the last day of the month.
