Mrs. FDR led the pack with a first bloom April 20, followed by Carl Rosenfield two days later and Felix Crousse the following week. Carl has the pointed petals and Felix frames his spikes in a fan of rounded petals.

THE OLD FISH POND AND THE NEW KITCHEN GARDEN
