Seventeen acres, a dozen tenants, two farms, and a walking trail; that’s The Plant – October 25, and 28, 2017
CAMILLE’s WORLD
Camille spends most of her time at The Plant in the role of gardener. This year, she oversaw the transformation of a weedy slope into a showy pink muhly grass garden. These hardy plants have already tripled in size and will soon reach three feet in diameter. They won’t need watering and will, hopefully, choke out their competitors.
SEASONAL SPLENDOR
Another hardy perennial, mums hold their own all year, then treat us to one last happy hurrah before winter settles in.
PITTSBORO FARM AND FOREST TRAIL
We also maintain a 3/4 mile walking trail that encircles the property. It’s great to see people use the trail on their lunch break, or to walk their dogs in the evenings.
PARKS AND FLOWERS
Our Cedar Grove was Lyle’s brainchild, and Allen Jones of HOMS and Biofarm is behind the zinnia-rich Pollinator Maze.
NORTH CAROLINA WINE FEST
Meanwhile, Bob spends a day promoting Fair Game Beverage Company‘s products at the North Carolina Wine Fest.
Will Greene, new employee and coincidentally, a good friend of Jason and Haruka, poured samples of Fair Game’s wines and spirits all day long.
