SHAKORI
April 23, 2011
In which we settle in
for much needed play time at our favorite festival of music, dance and just
about anything else you can imagine.
MUSIC AND
DANCE
Here’s a man who
made an instrument using a tin can, a water bottle, scrap lumber and baling
twine. The only new parts are the frets and strings. Paperhand
Puppets paraded through the grounds.
MUD AND
PUPPETS
There was mud
everywhere and it kept getting deeper. The puppeteers seemed to struggle
with it a little.
LAID BACK
BENEATH THE TREES
We spent most of a
Saturday at the festival and it started out cool and soft until the sun broke
through the clouds later in the day.
JEWELS AND
GEMS
Amy brought jewels
and bejeweled Eli’s friend and Bob. As always, Garth was a gem, happy and
fun to be around.
FRIENDS
Amy and Eli posed
with Eli’s friend after bejewelment. It was nice to see Dana, fresh back
from Guatemala.
COOKIE AND
TRACY
Tracy spent a
little time in our ‘camp’ too. What fun!
