BOB AND CAMILLE AT HOME ON MAUI
July 14 through July 31, 2003
Another batch of cookies. Gotta have something to eat with our ice cream!
Bob points out, on this global orange, the exact location of a place called Mopipi. Mopipi is located in the Kalahari in South Africa, exactly opposite of Maui on the globe.
John brought over this extremely long stemmed rose with a heavenly fragrance and the unlikely name of Oklahoma.
We fixed it up in a vase with some ginger. No air fresheners needed at our place! Molly and Emily pose with the new arrangement and the orange Bob drew the whole world onto.
MISERY LOVES COMPANY
Within a day of Camille's tooth extraction, Bob ran into a nasty branch while trimming the hibiscus hedge for John and cut his head.
WEDDING, HAWAIIAN STLYE
John Lee of Maui Recycling Service and Kim got married July 17 on the shoreline at Ho'okipa.
SEEDS AND ORANGES
Work around the house never ends, whether it involves planting lettuce seeds or harvesting and squeezing juice - Bob and the girls stay busy all day! We are able to make our own 'POG' or Passion-Orange-Guava juice from the oranges, liliquoi (passion fruit) and guava that grow around the house.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
This year we turn 135 years old. Camille is 49, Bob will be 45, Emily 16, Amy 14 and Molly 11. To celebrate the occasion we ordered a Double Chocolate cake from the Hailimaile Bakery.
The night before we celebrate, we stare longingly at the presents Mom sent and try to guess what they are. The next day - voila! A candle, a book and three beach towels!
WHAT BETTER WAY
To celebrate our birthday, than with a trip to the beach?
Molokini seems to be sending up smoke signals in this picture of the cloud patterns over the south shore.
AMY MAKES IT LOOK EASY
Amy makes turning out a pair of delicious loaves look as easy as one, two, three. She kneads it, scores it and bakes the most beautiful bread.
Back at the ranch, Cookie the Wrangler hangs out with one of her equine buddies, Bobcat. On July 30, she received a new hat, silk scarf and a new pair of boots in the mail to complete the picture of professional horse wrangler and tour guide.
