SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

FOOTBALL POOL
Henry and Kelly invited us to their home for a Super Bowl party. Henry and his brother, Juan put their names on the football pool squares in their front yard the before the game. It was a beautiful day in San Mateo. Mayari, holding her pink guitar, poses with her father and Bob with an orange tree in the background.
FOOD, FRIENDS AND FUN
Henry whipped up a batch of his famous margaritas while Ira kept him company. Kelly put out a spread of food which included killer cornbread and chili. Henry tried to get Ira to look at the photographer for this shot but Ira was deep in conversation with the next door neighbor.
3D GLASSES
Our first task after downing a shot of tequila, was to prepare our 3D glasses for wearing, a tricky process involving scissors and some folding and tearing.
Now we were ready to properly view the featured 3D commercial, slated to come on right after half time.
HALF TIME ON A FLAT SCREEN, DOG ON A PILLOW
Bruce Springsteen and his band lit up the screen over half time while the black dog that never comes out good in photographs napped in the sun on her yellow pillow.
GREAT GAME, GREAT COMPANY
Between the margaritas and the great conversation, it's a wonder we managed to watch the game. And what a game it was! There were so many great plays, I won't try to list them. Ultimately, the Pittsburgh Steelers won their sixth title in a 27-23 victory against the Arizona Cardinals.
