HIKING WHITE PINES NATURE PRESERVE
March 7, 2009
STRAIGHT TREES, SERPENTINE PATHS AND VICE VERSA
It was a lovely day for a hike at White Pines Nature Preserve located at the confluence of the Deep and Rocky Rivers.
PUGS IN THE MUD
We couldn't decide whether these prints were made by a dog or a very large cat.
REFLECTIONS
It was a day so still you could hear the frogs jump from bank to river and mushrooms growing on old dead logs. Just the right kind of day for getting the world back in perspective.
OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW
Everybody loves spring for the simple reason that winter precedes it. It does the heart good to see evidence of new life springing up from the detritus of last year's fallen leaves.
