LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP
A goodbye, a hello, an engagement, a wedding and a potluck
September, 2009
INTERN NIGHT
The continual influx of new interns keeps things interesting and fresh for all of us but the goodbyes take getting used to. A group of us took Edible Earthscapes' intern Josh out to dinner to celebrate his hard work and say goodbye. New Biofuels intern, Holden joined us for Mexican food and cervezas.
A VERY ENGAGING COUPLE
Kate, former Biofuels Coop intern and her partner Bart met us at the restaurant. We are all happy that they only moved 45 minutes away after Kate's internship was up so we get to see them now and again. On this night, Bart told us the story of how he proposed marriage to Kate in El Salvador.
ENTHRALLED
Bart captivated all of us with his animated story telling.
SIMON AND JESSICA'S WEDDING
Next up on this month's social agenda was Simon and Jessica's wedding which was held at beautiful Laurel Ridge, a nearby Bed and Breakfast. Laurel Ridge is owned and operated by Camille's fellow riding instructor and riding buddy, Lisa.
GREG AND MORGAN
Simon is the reason these two lovely people are together and they make a very handsome pair. Greg has been Simon and Jessica's roommate for about a year and Morgan has been friends with Simon for years.
MARY BETH AND CALEB
Always photogenic and fashionably dressed, Mary Beth and Caleb looked particularly fine on this day. Sadly, they too will soon be moving on. Click on the photo for a closer look at this fine couple.
MATT AND DANA AND SIMON
Another stunning couple, Matt and Dana are also roommates of Simon and Jessica. Simon and Bob exchange pre-wedding words about romance and friendship.
PARTY TIME
As with all parties, the wedding reception was great fun for everyone and especially for the bride and groom. Jessica and Simon met on the Appalachian Trail and plan to hike a stretch of the trail during their honey moon. Their cake topper depicts them wearing back packs along the trail followed by their little dog, Chestnut.
POTLUCK AT CAMELINA
The day after the wedding we held our monthly Oilseed Potluck at Camelina in which we all ate our fill and got a nice dose of community. At the table are Dana, Sharon, Greg, Morgan, Hannah, Link, Mary Beth, Caleb and Laura and in the living room, Bob and Matt.
