SHAKORI HILLS FALL MUSIC FESTIVAL
All kinds of fun, from rock cairns, to hula hoops to peace umbrellas
October, 2009 - Page 3 of 4
CAIRNS AT THE PEAK
Although these cairns, or piles of rocks were not at the peak of a mountain, cairns are often used to mark mountain peaks or hiking trails. These rocks both served to amuse us and to keep us grounded.
HULA BALOO
In demonstrations of extreme coordination, Emily, Amy and Molly showed off their hula skills.
PARASOLS FOR PEACE
Lest we lose sight of the bigger picture, this project highlights the most important issue of our day.
We were captivated by the range of art on the peace umbrellas.
A PLACE TO LINGER
Once we started looking around, it was difficult for us to break away. Click on the picture of Molly to see the full sized image.
It feels good to know that there are many of us who fervently hope to see an end to war in our lifetime.
