SPRING FLOWERS

BOB AND CAMILLE

Another day, another hike April 30, 2006

THE VALLEY

This is the view from the trail.  We sat for awhile and saw three Mule Deer Does who rose from  their nests beneath three separate trees to browse.

NATURE IS AN ARTIST

You couldn't ask for a prettier picture than this composition of cloud and sky, yucca, stone, brush and flowers.

FLOWERS, FLOWERS EVERYWHERE!

Whole fields of them or just little bouquets hiding behind the rocks.

PAINTED SANDSTONE

We stood and looked at this stone for some time, trying to make ourselves believe that they weren't painted by a human hand.

DANDELION NOTS

These dandelion look-alikes with their crinkled leaves caught our eye.

As did all of the following other versions of Nature's Handiwork:

A STROLL THROUGH AN OLD QUARRY TOWN

After hiking, we drove to a nearby town and went for a little walk .  We found two things of interest - a posted warning about the Bubonic Plague being found recently in this town and some beautiful stonework in the outside walls of a church.
