SHARON'S HOUSEWARMING PARTY

In which Bob and Camille join the fun next door in the loft to welcome their new neighbor to the neighborhood on September 17, 2006

 

FRIENDS

    Sharon (on the right) decided to invite some friends to her loft for a party.  Everyone brought their favorite beverages, most of it wine, and some of it beer.  Sharon made a enormous pot of chili and put out plates of grapes, cheese and crackers.

 

EVEN MISTY CAME!

And that was a nice surprise brought about by some cold weather and her premature return from a camping trip.

 

AND OF COURSE, MIKE!

Seen here inhaling a bowl of Sharon's tasty chili.

 

THE GROUP "W" BENCH

Paul, Cindy, Misty and Camille spitting and telling lies on the bench named after the one down at the draft office from Arlo Guthrie's classic Thanksgiving song, "Alice's Restaurant."

 

FUN WAS THE ONLY OBJECTIVE ON THIS EVENING

   

And everyone seemed to be having their share of it.  Bob and Pat were having a good time as were Cindy and Paul.

 

ESPECIALLY SHARON

 

And especially after she moved up from wine to the margaritas her friend Mike brought!

 

THE TRUTH

The truth is this: Grace, Sharon's 75 pound bulldog, is the queen of the loft.  And the truth is, Sharon really threw this party in Grace's honor.  Doesn't she look great in her "off-the-shoulder" look?

 

CHEESE! 

 

"What was tickling your fancy, so?"  Sharon asked Bob when she saw this photo of him and Grace.  "Well," Bob answered, "I was just happy to be able to satisfy such a simple need."

He had been watching Grace as she positioned herself to the best advantage for receiving a bit of cheese.  If someone was eating chips and dip, Grace would stand next to them but as soon as anyone went near the cheese, she moved over to the cheese table.

So Bob decided to sit down and feed Grace some cheese.  She went for it, as you can see and it made him very happy, as you can also see.
