May 24, 2012 – A lovely visit with Mom, Darla and John, Charity and Brandon and their happy families.
JOHN AND DARLA’S HOME
We are very fortunate that John and Darla welcome us into their home every year for as many nights as we desire. On top of that, they host a meal for all of us to get together. In their 50’s now, Darla and Camille have known each other since they were in their teens. Mom, Dad and brother Joe joined us for dinner as did nephew Brandon and niece Charity and their families.
EIGHT GRANDKIDS
John and Darla now have eight grandchildren. Brandon’s wife, Joanna holds Charity and Brandon’s newest addition, Josiah. Camille’s brother John a.k.a Grandpa Basil plays with Alana, Jacob, Bethany and Lydia on the lawn at golden hour.
SLIPPERS ARE FOR EARS
Grandpa Basil made a game out of ‘stealing’ Alana’s slippers and hanging them on his ears. It was quite entertaining to watch them frolic. Jacob enjoys the anticipation of another steal as Alana’s younger sister Lydia taunts grandpa.
YO BABY
When Camille saw the photos John took of young Josiah at five days of age, she dubbed him Yoda Baby and started making him a baby afghan.
GREAT GRANDMOTHER
Mom is every grandchild’s dream of unconditional love incarnate and never tires of holding children on her lap. Here she is with Josia and Alana.
