Chicken Coop Warming Party

CHICKEN COOP WARMING PARTY

A Farewell Party for Kate and Bart at their Home on July 25, 2009

FAREWELL TO A NICE LITTLE HOME

Kate and Bart are moving away from our town soon to increase their  higher education levels. They’ll be leaving their little home with the sunflowers, chickens, vegetable gardens and strange looking tree next door. We are all going to miss the great energy they brought with them and unselfishly poured into our community.

CHICKEN WHISPERER

Camille knew that Kate had a way with horses and dogs but didn’t know about the chickens. The bamboo chicken tractor they built is behind Mary Beth.

Mary Beth, Haruka and Jason watch in awe as Kate handles one of their three young hens, one named after Bart’s mother.

EAT, DRINK, SPECTATE

Bart and Kate made sure there was plenty of good food, with a potluck and Kate’s home made pizza, a keg of beer and a lawn game to entertain.

YOU DON’T SAY

Every party benefits from a little running commentary and there were plenty of us well equipped to provide it at this gathering. Jason, Bob, Andy and Matt enjoying each other’s company and the ambience of the evening.

GOOD FRIENDS

Camille and Jill, Jaime and Ian happily enjoying the opportunity to relax.
