Hiking Tumbling Run with Aphia and Michael

A HIKE UP TUMBLING RUN WITH APHIA AND  MICHAEL

May 20, 2009

THE NATURAL WORLD BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN EVERYONE

Michael and Aphia make a point of finding time to get out and hike. They are a beautiful couple.

Bob and Camille love that nature thing, too.

TUMBLING RUN

What an appropriate
name for this hiking spot!  Aphia told us that she has hiked here with many
of her uncles (Camille’s brothers) but this was the first time Camille had ever
been here.

WATER
SPRITES

Between the
negative ions from all the running water and the endorphins from the exercise,
we were soon feeling young, playful and refreshed.

Lucky us to have
such a fun couple to play with!  Aphia showed us her ‘elephant.’ Before we
knew it, we were nearly at the top.

TOP OF THE
ROCK

As promised, the
view was worth the exertion.  We took a nice rest and headed back down the
run.

MAKING A
SPLASH, CATCHING A DRIP

Michael lifted an
enormous rock out of the stream, staggered to shore with it and threw it back
just to make a splash.  Back at home, their cat sat in the sink and drank
water from her paw, one drip at a time.

CATCHING
SOME RAYS

Their cat got
wound up in the reflection from Camille’s wine glass.  Cats are eternally
amusing creatures.

LAST
YEAR’S HIKE, ECT.

Last year we hiked
around the Gettysburg killing fields with Brother Joe and then drank some wine
and went out to dinner. Aphia took these photos.  Click on the group photo
for a closer look.
