BOB
AND CAMILLE AT HOME ON MAUI

BREW CREW

Friday is brewing and bottling
day.  On August 1, Bob and Amy slave away on this weeks batch.

BIODIESEL RELAY

Shaun and Pam helped us kick
off this Cross Country Biodiesel Relay promoting renewable fuel from Maui to
Easton, Maryland.  We drove from the beach on the north shore to the
top of Haleakala.

FIGHTING LIKE CATS AND DOGS

Koa dog and Kai kitty get
after some fun on our front porch on August 6.

SWEET FLOWERS

Amy holds a bouquet of John’s
home grown roses.

COOKIE SAYS GOODBYE

On August 7, Bob caught a
plane to Virginia for three and a half weeks of work. Cookie poses by the
front door for a goodbye photo before we drove to the airport.

BOB JOINS THE MAINLAND

Already in progress…
Well, sort of.  Here he sits in traffic on I-64 south of Norfolk,
Virginia.  Notice the speedometer reads 0 mph.

INTERNATIONAL DATA MANAGEMENT
GROUP

These are the folks at IDMG.
Standing, left to right are Bob, Catherine, Karen, Kat, Steve.
Stefanie and Laurie sit in front.

In these offices, data is
received and cataloged.  IDMG is in the business of managing records
for other companies by scanning them and converting them to electronic files
for easy storage and retrieval.

GARRETT’S STORE

On August 17, Bob drove to our
old neighborhood at Woodland Farms in Williamsburg, Virginia.  It looks
as if the Garrett brothers have given their gas station a fresh coat of
paint.

MEMORY LANE

  This is the 7 acre
property at 205 Stonehouse Road where we lived and kept horses from spring
of 1996 to 1997.

GOOD NEIGHBOR

Ann Lipp, our neighbor and
riding buddy hasn’t aged much since we moved 6 years ago.  Bob caught
her cleaning stalls and stopped for a chat.

CROAKER LANDING

Still as pretty as it ever
was, Croaker landing is a protected piece of the York
River State Park.

OUR OLD FISH TANKS

Are still doing service at the
York River State Park, educating the public about the local wildlife.
We donated our three fish tanks when we left Virginia for Belize.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY MAN

Bob cooked most of his own
meals while in Virginia and managed to turn them out of a tiny hotel
kitchen.

In fact, he even baked bread,
made seitan from scratch and brought his own sandwiches to work.

VIRGINIA BEACH

Bob got up early on August
24th and drove to Virginia Beach for a swim and some sun.  All that
working indoors was beginning to fade his Hawaiian tan.

MOUNT TRASHMORE

Mount Trashmore, in Virginia
Beach is a good example of turning a sow’s ear into a silk purse.  They
took their landfill and turned it into a recreational park.
