JOHN SENIOR‘S FAMILY FROM POLAND AND SICILY

  

 John Senior‘s grandmother on his mother, Helen‘s side with his uncle. Helen was born in Poland and moved to Brooklyn when she was a young girl.
John Senior‘s grandmother Mary Ann on his father, Frank‘s side came from Sicily and ran a boarding house in Texas. This picture is from the 1920’s.

HIGHLANDS FAMILY GATHERINGS

  

Sunday family dinners were routine at Frank and Helen‘s place in Atlantic Highlands. The photo on the left was probably taken in the 60‘s with Frank senior at the head of the table. Helen is on his right. At the far end of the table are Irene and Nicky. The photo on the right features Frank Sr‘s brother Jody, Helen, Frank Jr. and Mabel.

Doris (Janice‘s mother) and her sister Ibby as young women and in her 70‘s while on a visit to Pennsylvania. Missing – a picture of Dori‘s husband Roderick who died when Janice was 13 years old.

JANICE AND JOHN

 

John married Janice in 1953 and they started a family. In Bergenfield with young John and Camille around 1957.

By 1958, Helen and Frank were Nana and Grandpa to John‘s first two children, Camille and John. Frank was soon to follow with two sons. John and Janice continued on with Robert, Joseph, Michael and James.
