JOHN SENIOR‘S FAMILY FROM POLAND AND SICILY

Helen‘s Mother and brother
John Senior‘s grandmother on his mother, Helen‘s side with his uncle. Helen was born in Poland and moved to Brooklyn when she was a young girl.

John Senior‘s grandmother Mary Ann on his father‘s side came from Sicily and ran a boarding house in Texas. This picture is from the 1920’s.

HIGHLANDS FAMILY GATHERINGS

  Sunday family dinners were routine at Frank and Helen‘s place in Atlantic Highlands. The photo was probably taken in the 60‘s with Frank senior at the head of the table. Helen is on his right. At the far end of the table are Irene and Nicky.

By 1958, Helen and Frank were Nana and Grandpa to John‘s first two children, Camille and John. Frank was soon to follow with two sons. John and Janice continued on with Robert, Joseph, Michael and James.
