GOOD FRIENDS NEVER GROW OLD

HANGING
OUT WITH NED IN CABIN JOHN

May 19 & 20, 2010

GOOD
FRIENDS NEVER GROW OLD

Camille felt
honored to take the customary photo of Ned and Bob in their sunglasses.
It’s become a time honored tradition, reaching back thirty years. 🙂

A
FIXER UPPER

Ned’s house was a
construction zone when we arrived but he and the rest of the crew worked like
wild people and put it all back together in time to served dinner to friends
Frankie and Jessica.  They followed the directions we’d given them and
found themselves a couple of streets over but called and we talked them on
in.  We were having such a nice time talking and eating, we forgot to
take  pictures but you can look at this nice photo essay from two years ago
by following this link: Frankie and Jessica’s DC World Suffice it to say both Frankie and Jessica are
looking fabulous and doing well.  They pulled up in a cool little zip
car
and showed us how they unlock the doors by holding a magnetic card
against the windshield.

NEW
GARDENS

When Ned visits
us, we garden.  When we visit him, we garden.  Here are this year’s
new beds with sweet peppers and herbs.

WE LOVE
OUR WALKS WITH NED

And Ned has lots
of great places to walk near his home.  This time, we headed down to the
Potomac River, crossing beneath a bridge along the way.

TURTLE
ABUNDANCE

The turtles were
out in full force this morning.

THE WRONG
ADDRESS ON THE RIGHT DAY

Here’s the house
Frankie and Jessica arrived at on their first try at finding Ned’s house.
They thought it looked like the kind of place the Adams Family might live
in.  It wasn’t nearly so scary on this bright and pretty day as it must
have been the night before. It was a perfect day for a walk!
