ADVENTURES IN SHEET MULCHING –
THE MANY USES OF CARDBOARD

By simply laying down these
sheets of cardboard, we turned a bank of weeds into an extension for our
potato garden.

AZALEA RESCUE

Here’s what two adults
wielding hand tools can do in an hour and a half.  Cane grass grows 15
feet high and smothers everything in its path.

BROMELIAD PROJECT

It takes a sculptors eye to
see the many beautiful plants waiting for release from the weeds.
These lovely bromeliad gardens revealed themselves in return for our
efforts.

CLEAN UP UNDER THE OIL PALM

Another one of those fun
projects – we took this one on Saturday, November 10th.  Little by
little, we are pushing back the molasses grass, cane and vines.

COMPOST SLEEVE

Bob’s a happy man after
finding this discarded sleeve and realizing how much easier it makes the
weekly chore of turning the compost pile.  Not to mention the pretty
little bun we find after lifting off the sleeve.  Bob then turns the
compost back into the sleeve to cook for another week.

PLANT CLINIC

Starting out the month with
some fresh pots.
