<\/a><\/p>\nSlightly out of Camille’s league, but good fun for the most part, Camille found herself at a college football game in Minnesota with good friend Pam and family. In the stands are Pam and her niece Katy, Pam’s father and mother, brother Scott, and Scott’s brother-in-law, Bill. On the field, wearing the number 4 jersey is Scott’s son, Matthew. Read all about the ups and downs of that day, here: Collegeville Football<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The next day we found ourselves at Scott and Linda’s lakeside cabin. Here’s Pam and her mother, with Scott and Linda’s dog, Roger. Scott in the driver’s seat, with Linda, and Pam’s father. Scott and Linda were fabulous hosts, who went out of their way to give us the perfect getaway experience. See more photos of this majical weekend at: Up at the Lake<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Camille didn’t want to leave Minnesota without stepping inside one of the largest malls in the country (second largest in terms of retail space, largest if you include their indoor Nickelodeon Universe amusement park). As expected, it was mall-on-steroids, loud, and buzzing with activity.\u00a0 Here’s the stats: 96 acres, 530 shops, 11,000-13,000 employees. Camille found something resembling a horse and latched onto it for comfort. Pam tries to get her head around the steampunk legging fashion.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n And then we were back at Duane and Shirley’s every day life, a slice of heaven in a woodsy cul-de-sac. More photos at: Pam and The Folks<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bob waited for Camille to return before harvesting an immense yellow pepper. We gobbled it up in two days. A yellow bird, most likely a Summer Tanager, hit our living room window and sat on the front porch, stunned, for close to half an hour.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We celebrated Bob’s 59th birthday with a neighborhood potluck. Spot got to meet Austin, Michael, and Jamie.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At work, the pink muhly grass is in bloom, and Camille and Malcolm found a strange black fungus on the Pittsboro Farm and Forest Trail.<\/p>\n THIS MONTH’S QUOTES:<\/span><\/p>\n “We live in a culture that has objectified and commodified everything.
