PRETTY PINE AND PAMPASS<\/h3>\n
Snow, like icing on the plants in our yard.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The temperatures dipped, and enough snow melted to put an icy drip on the butterfly bush and bird feeders.<\/p>\n The poor birds were eating nonstop to stay warm, demanding that Bob fill the feeders once a day. We saw below zero temperatures for the first time in maybe ever, -4 Fahrenheit!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ten days later, the flakes began to fall again and the birds queued up. Christine got buried. Bob measured 8 inches!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The cardinals are eye-candy punctuating a whitewashed world.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We were surprised that none of the Leland Cypress toppled from the weight of the snow, and happy that none of the red tip branches broke under the strain.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is what they mean by Carolina Blue. No filter.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Coming and going. Love how his ears get all round with mounded up snow!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The junipers flanking our driveway lost two branches which cracked under the weight and had to be amputated.<\/p>\n We’re not used to getting two snowstorms in one month, and the second one dumped up to a foot of snow in our county.
