Shelley and Eric enter Susan’s phlox paradise, a place where plants of all seasons, including the early-blooming Japanese quince, flourish in harmony.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You can tell from this splendid spread that Olivia is a formidable pastry chef. Camille’s plate features cheese bread, opera cake, pea and mint salad, a chocolate brownie, chocolate covered cream puff, and an egg and spinach pie.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Who makes their own cream puffs and dino gummy snacks with real fruit juice? Olivia also made caramels in a variety of flavors. Seriously, over the top!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Trail Crawl happens because people open up their homes and put out a spread for their neighbors. People like Susan and Olivia, Megan, and Tami, who by the way, started the whole thing twenty years ago.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Camille’s favorite part: walking.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Blue bottle trees and fragrant yellow daffodils mark the entrance to Megan’s place.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Of course, we were all ravenous after our half mile walk. Camille got all caught up in the Cheetos, a guilty pleasure we never stock at home.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No better way to relax. Megan’s pond is home to a flock of geese which provide her with eggs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Helen, Bob, Amie, and Derrick<\/p>\n Cedar and Kathie<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fortified and relaxed, the group heads off on the 1 1\/2-mile trek to the third stop.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Stinking Creek demands balance, resolve, and team work.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lyle named this home Japan because it sits above the pond requiring retaining walls and garden terracing. The last stop is a good place to spread out and relax with yet another round of food and drink. Plates were filled. Beer and stories flowed.
