<\/a><\/p>\nWe enjoyed a fun and relaxing afternoon with Trip and Jenny in Snow Camp. It was a perfect day for a swim in their pond.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cookies and frogs, squirrels and more. Check out what Camille does with her time now that she is retired: Cookie’s World<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matt and Gael joined us for a light mid-afternoon lunch, after which we helped Gael back into his shoes and went for a stroll through the yard.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Something we like to do on a Sunday morning is take Val down to Jordan Lake Dam and go for a good walk.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bob makes the best of 11 days on the road for work, taking pictures of the impressive Columbia River Gorge and stopping to buy peaches with his buddy, Bill. See more, including a side-trip to Bonneville Dam on: Bob’s World<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mixing a healthy dose pleasure into his travels, Bob spent a couple of days with Amy where she imprints cast-off clothing made of cotton, silk, and wool using\u00a0black walnut and other natural dyes.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Amy and Jasper live on 10 acres with their dog, Osha, four friends, chickens, ducks, and at least one more dog. Bob got to see it all, and took Camille on a real-time Skype tour.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Amy and Jasper’s property-mate, Aganaq hand crafts baskets from coppiced willow.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Market is where the rubber meets the road; where artists like Amy sell their work.<\/p>\n Amy stands beside Mario man with his waffle necklace. Aganaq (on the right) with a friend.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meanwhile, back in North Carolina, a couple of unshared sunsets leave Camille with feelings of wonder and loss.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Shaine brightened the day for Camille when she brought over three watermelons from her back yard. Her garden is twice the size of ours and she is extremely generous with her harvests.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We liked the documentary about Fred Rogers so much, Camille invited Buffy, Zoila, and Jennifer over to watch “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” over dinner.<\/p>\n THIS MONTH’S QUOTES:<\/span><\/p>\n “I think it’s fitting to leave one final thought, an observation about a country which I love.
