There was a mild setback when the muffler on the car Eric borrowed to take us to the lake clattered to the ground after navigating a giant bump. Bob and Eric got to work. Amy called Elodie for reinforcements.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n AT HOME ON THE DECK<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n We’ve spent enough time at the Green Ranch that it truly feels like home. Camille and Elodie get caught up while Bob plays with Simeon.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n A RELAXING AFTERNOON<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Bob’s plan was to whisk Camille away from the house so that she wouldn’t have to do any housework on her birthday leaving her with plenty of time to hang out. Amy had spent the month of May working at the ranch, so this was truly a home coming for her.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n LOLLIPOP EYES<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Bob’s description of Simeon’s big brown eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n BANNISTER BOY<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Simeon watches Katsumoto groom himself and looks down at the pastures and the lake from behind the new bannister on the deck.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n BIRTHDAY RIDE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n After breakfast, we rode north along the shore towards the point. It was a perfect day for a ride.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n SUCH GOOD PONIES<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Camille rode Quasar and Elodie rode Gaia. Quasar is the newest addition to Elodie’s herd and it made Camille’s birthday extra special to ride her. This beautiful roan mare, was surprisingly well put together at only four years with only a few months under saddle. Camille found Quasar to be is well-balanced, strong, sure-footed, level-headed and basically a joy to ride.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n THROUGH THE COCOA AND INTO THE VILLAGE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n We came out on the main road into Abono, crossed the soccer field and soon found ourselves riding through a cocoa plantation. On the way home we rode through the villages. Amy and Bob look as if they were born on horseback.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n INDIGO, VENUS AND QUASAR<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Bob is on Indigo, Amy on Venusy and Camille on Quasar who was unfazed by boys on bicycles.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n BACK AT THE BARN<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Camille holds Gaia and Amy rolls up the hose.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n AMY’S GARDEN<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Amy is the Johnny Appleseed of back yard gardens!
