<\/a><\/p>\nWhere some people make art and other people come to buy it. We have been buying Ellen’s beautiful batik clothing for more than a year. Bob is wearing a shirt from her shop. Sadly, her husband died recently. She closed the shop for a short time and has reappeared wearing black.<\/p>\n

This artist has turned his jeans into a work of art. BJ is very pleased with the baskets she purchased.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It’s hard to resist photos of coffins and street vendors. While sitting in traffic you can buy handkerchiefs and\/or gum from a smiling guy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n BJ and Camille lounge on the hood of Eric’s Taxi while he grabs a quick bite of fufu from a chop bar next to Ebeneezer’s. Bob bought some herbal malaria medicine from the nice lady inside the shop. Camille is showing off the African looking bracelet and skirt she bought before leaving Pittsboro.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No point going home empty handed. Bob always makes sure to bring antibiotics home and because we are leaving Ghana he also bought de-wormer and malaria treatment. If we come down with malaria after reaching the States, it is unlikely to be correctly diagnosed so just to be on the safe side, we’re bringing along our own cure. There’s a lot of controversy about taking malaria preventative antibiotics but we have never gone that route and so far have not yet gotten malaria. With any luck our track record will remain the same.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Lipstick” mosque complete with loud speakers and the rebar store.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The old man on the poster to the left really creeps us out. He kind of looks like a zombie. Also creepy is the garbage river.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How many plantains can you get on a headpan? How many watermelons can you sell in one day?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Shoes and mattresses, leaning off the top of a taxi bound for Bosumtwi.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Herds.
