Our home for two nights was a small hotel on a hill.<\/span><\/p>\n

The whole gang – all of us involved in some way with the fecal sludge to biodiesel project. Jeremy, Camille, Bob, Laura, Lauren, Louis and Justin.<\/span><\/p>\n

A CATHOLIC CHURCH AND A FALLEN LION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We climbed the hill to beautiful Saint Francis de Sales Catholic church. And walked up the street past the fallen statue of a lion towards the Goil station. Goil stands for Ghana Oil.<\/span><\/p>\n

BRIGHT BUILDINGS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We liked the pied crow on the side of this pink and yellow building and were impressed by the bright red color of this building.<\/span><\/p>\n

BATIKING CLASS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Lauren signed us up for a batiking class so we all made ourselves a piece of cloth and learned about the process. It was a great experience and we brought our fabric home to use as window covering. More photos of the batiking class here: Batiking Class<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

LAST DAY<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The sun rose like a red ball the morning of our return to Kumasi. We walked down to the Baobab House for a delicious breakfast.<\/span><\/p>\n

MORINGA THE MIRACLE PLANT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Come to find out we have moringa growing in our neighborhood!<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

HEADING HOME WITH ERIC<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Potty stop and plantain stop. Bob shot a photo of Eric buying baked plantain from a roadside vendor on the way home.<\/span><\/p>\n

PSALM PEOPLE AND PALM PEOPLE\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It is common to see buildings with religious messages on them like this shop with the words The Lord is My Shepherd. On the way home, we passed a miles of homes and shops made of palm fronds.<\/span><\/p>\n
