<\/a><\/p>\nFirst it snowed and then it froze, turning the Moncure Pittsboro Road into an icy foot path. Zoila coaxed Camille out for a walk in the sleet.<\/p>\n

A WARM KITCHEN<\/h3>\n
They walked to Hope and Luke’s, then to Alisa and Chris’s to check on Brooksie and the kids and soon\u00a0ended up in Lyle and Tami’s kitchen.<\/p>\n It a little spooky\u00a0how we were all drawn towards this one spot. We soon found ourselves sitting around the table, nibbling Arlo’s tasty\u00a0chocolate chip cookies. By now we all knew Alisa and Chris’s return from Wales would be delayed three or four days. Tami suggested we make a plan,\u00a0so we drafted a schedule.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The next morning we were even more snowed in.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Spot enjoys the view across the road, snug under his\u00a0snow-white blanket.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Camille walked over to Chris and Alisa’s yellow house to spend the afternoon with Brooksie and the kids. Brooksie\u00a0was the star,\u00a0taking the lion’s share of the load. She stayed in the house night after night, in part because she was snowed in but\u00a0mostly because she has a super big heart.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You take your fun where you can find it. This small hill shows signs of sledding\u00a0spills and giggles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By Tuesday we were able to get into work where we found an icy Lorax Lane on the thaw.<\/p>\n The blizzard of 2016, an epic east coast storm dubbed Snowzilla by the press had us snowed in with the neighbors.
