A WET SPRING<\/h3>\n
It rained a lot in May and there were several spectacular rainbows. Malcolm mows between storms on our new zero-turn lawn tractor.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Camille was puzzled over why this handsome black\u00a0snake climbed up from the boxwood onto the Abundance NC office window and stayed there for half an hour. As best we can figure, it had something to do with the black weather stripping. The snake stared and stared, coiled for action and finally gave up and went away. Whether it presented opportunity or threat is anyone’s guess. Mating season does strange things to reptilian brains.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 Bob was privileged to witness the elegant mating ritual of two beautiful black\u00a0snakes the next day. What a great story it would make if one of these was the same snake Camille saw dancing with the weather stripping the previous day.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By day Bob has become a mad scientist, wrangling a recipe from coconut oil in his laboratory at The Plant. He is saponifying oil and acidulating soaps to help formulate some natural pesticide and herbicides for one of our tenant companies.<\/p>\n Turtles, snakes, rainbows and free fatty acids.
