BOB
AND CAMILLE AT HOME ON MAUI

DON’T LOOK NOW

Look who we found at the
Kahului airport on December 28th!  Brother Jim and Father Joe!

STILL LIFE WITH SOURDOUGH

In which we experiment with
sourdough starters – we have a way to go yet.

MEANWHILE, BACK IN THE GARDEN

How does your Vinca
grow?  Very nicely, thanks to a year of weeding.  The garden is
taking on a linear quality these days.  It makes me think of landing
strips and we’re wondering if the new structure will attract visitors from
outer space.  The thin strips make weeding easy and the grass in
between is just as wide as our rotary mower.

DECEMBER 25

Looks like Santa found us!

Bob was able to revive the
Billy Badmouth Bass he received from Santa.

Bob gave Camille Frankincense
with a pretty burner and charcoal to help it stay lit.  Bob took it and
made the whole house smell good!

What a nice little night
light!  Sure makes lighting the lamps at night easy and only takes 7
volts!

THE BIGGEST CHAMELEON YET

Found December 19th out near
the compost bins.  What a handsome fellow!

WE GO PROFESSIONAL – 12/12

Before and After

It was only a matter of
time.  This is the first gardening job in which we were paid for our
efforts.  We tackled some neglected beds at the home of an upcountry writer
with these pleasing results.  It was raining so hard at our house that we
would have been unable to play in our own yard, so it was great to be able to go
over to the dry side and work in the Earth together.
