BOB AND CAMILLE AT HOME ON MAUI

NOT ANOTHER GARDEN PICTURE!

No month is complete without the latest view of our beautiful garden.  Because of this garden, we have lost over 40 pounds.  Between the garden, recycling, and composting, the trash we generate for Maui’s landfill is less than 3 cubic yards a year.

TROUT’S YARD SERVICE

We thinned out these pretty bromeliads.  Tara McBarnet gets involved in the sod project.

A before and after of the Agave plants on the corner of the driveway.  Bob worked this project while I sold plants at the Kula Ace Nursery just a few blocks away.

FUN AT ADVENTURES ON HORSEBACK

This horse reminded me of CP and I took a liking to him right away.  He is a serious little fellow with great looks.  His name is “Dude.”  Someday I hope to take him out for a spin.  I’m sure we’ll hit it off.

“You’ve seen one chicken you’ve seen them all” didn’t hold true regarding this funny little hen.  For one thing, she is the only chicken on the property – the other domesticated birds are ducks.  She also has an interesting personality.  I was informed that she is from fighting cock stock and fluctuates between her male and her female side.  “Chicken,”    as she is creatively named, goes from broody to cocky a few times a year. She has a trick which I am still trying to capture on film. You haven’t seen the last of this bird!

A NIGHT ON THE TOWN

After an afternoon on the beach, we headed for a nearby Brew Pub for beer,  pizza and pasta.  Mike  showed us his “Maui Owie” – one of a few vacation injuries.

AND THEN THERE WERE THREE!

After Meeting Mike at the airport January 3rd, we all came up for an afternoon in the garden,

An early meal,

And some fireworks!
