PLAYING BY THE CREEK

Warmer weather inspired a group of us to hike down to the creek and wade on in.

 

BUT FIRST, SOME STREET SOCCER

 

We walked to the end of the street to wait for Dana and Adah, Rob, Jack and Link took the opportunity to play some ball.

 

AND THEN WE HIKED TO THE CREEK AND WADED RIGHT IN

  

Link and Adah reflect the joy of the moment with hearty laughter.  You had to be there, but the exercise of removing our shoes and wading into the creek to get to the other side brought out the funny in all of us.

 

BASKING

   

Our goal was to surprise Jessica on her birthday.  So we waited, basking in the sun, splashing in the water, eating food we had brought, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful day  until Simon brought her to the creek.   Lucy found something good to roll in.  Jessi found a warm rock to sit on.  Dana basked in the company of good friends.

 

AND ADAH?

 

She found some mud and used it to paint everybody's faces, beginning with Link.  Rob shows off his mud mask.

Rob painted Adah and it was a little while before one of us told her she had painted the word Stupid on her forehead.

I found his pigtails especially amusing.
