A BIG MUSHROOM MONTH
After a few days of rain, mushrooms were popping out all over, in meadows, woods and lawns.
ALL KINDS
Our friends noticed it too – there were all kinds of mushrooms they weren’t used to seeing around here.
GNOMES
Mushrooms were marching off into the distance like chummy little gnomes.
PRETTY PARASOLS
The prettier mushrooms were begging to be picked and eaten but we weren’t falling for it.
HANGING WITH THE CENTIPEDES
Cute little mushroom bursting through the oak leaves a crawlin’ with centipedes.
GNARLY AND STINKY
Mushrooms that looked like brains and guts with bad smells, even.
CRUMBLE AND SPONGY
Seriously, it was a big mushroom month!
AND HERE’S THE MORE:
A spider.
And a butterfly. While Bob was refueling the lawn tractor we share with our neighbors, a black and blue butterfly came to rest on the engine.
