IN THE STREETS

We took a little stroll about the quaint little streets, good little tourists that we are.

DOGS AND DANGER

These little dogs were hilarious as they navigated a bit of social anxiety. A sign on an electrical box states Pericolo Di Morte which translates as “Danger of Death.”

TREES

A view of the sea through the tangled branches of an old tree and a cypress dressed up in violet bougainvillea.

TAORMINA FILM FEST

We happened to be in town on the last day of the 60th edition of the Taormina Film Fest, which was held in this 2,000 year old amphitheater. This years theme was “60 years of women and their impact” and Melanie Griffith and Bo Derek were among the women honored.

THE GREEK THEATER

There’s a bit of confusion as to whether this was built by the Greeks or the Romans who typically constructed out of brick.

VIEWS FROM THE TOP

A BEAUTFUL COASTLINE

The water was stunningly blue and as clear as the tap water from our well back home.

THE DESCENT

It only took about twenty minutes to reach our B&B from Taormina along this mostly well-kept path that zig zagged down the steep hill.
