ROUNDABOUT COTTAGE
So named because it sits beside a little traffic circle, or roundabout in a cozy, tree-shaded neighborhood.
LAKE FRONT
Beyond house and home, Roundabout cottage is a place to slow your pulse and slip into vacation mode. At least for we who visit.
LUNCH AND REPOSE
Bob, Joe, and Jim on lunch break. Joe in repose. We spent a lot of time in Jim and Kathryn’s comfy back yard. Sadly, Kathryn was at work during the day.
SCENES FROM A WELL-KEPT YARD

Ivy on pine and the trail across Meeshaway that threads between two lakes. There’s an elusive frog on the far end of this trail that Jim tries to spot before it splashes off the bank. Everything about this place was picturesque as heck.
SEA MONSTERS AND DINOSAURS
On Jim’s day off he took Joe and Camille for a walk to the grocery store, past Lake Mishe Mokwa where Jim sang us the Sea Monster song Kathryn made up for their three grandchildren. After we got to Shippensburg, Camille was hanging out with Kathryn when she picked up a call from her grandson who requested she sing the sea monster song. So, Camille got to hear both Jim and Kathryn sing it. Joe returned from the grocery store walk with a basket of plastic dinosaurs and a bloody knee. Brother John took Camille up to North Mountain, too. And there was an excursion to the home place. See more photos here: Brother Stomping
REFLECTION AT THE END OF THE DAY
Reluctant to end a perfect day, Jim lit a fire and got out the marshmallow sticks.
Kathryn and Camille get caught up and Joe warms the bottoms of his feet.
SO LONG ‘TILL NEXT TIME
Our two days at Roundabout Cottage over, we took one last look and climbed back into the car.
