The Youngsters

In which we connect with ten of our grand nieces and nephews – May 18-21, 2017

PIZZA IN THE PARK

John’s wife, Darla has been staying with their grand children while their parents Brandon and Joanna are away. We wanted to spend a little time with them outside of the reunion, so Darla picked up pizza and met us at the pavilion. We asked everyone what their favorite animals were and were surprised to hear Micah, the oldest say, “Tyrannosaurus Rex!” From left are Darla, twins Jacob and Bethany, Micah, and Ben.

UNCLE JOE

After they ate, the kids tossed the football with their Uncle Joe.

THE OTHER SIX KIDS

On Sunday evening we brought take out to Charity’s country home and hung out with her six children. Husband Jason was out of town. The youngest, Joel has infectious sparkle and flyaway hair.

PATIO TIME

Oldest son Levi chats with his Uncle Joe. Grandma Darla brought a bag of children’s clothes and a jar of tea.

MOWERS IN THE MAKING

Alex practices mowing with a toy mower and baby Joel runs to keep up.

PERFECT BACK YARD

Alanna plays on one of the swings while their friendly golden retriever makes the rounds.

MAIN ATTRACTION

Their trampoline gets lots of play. Darla brought the other four kids over, bringing the back yard total to ten. Bethany and Lydia have made up a game where one kneels in the center while the other jumps around her in a circle until the kneeler keels over. We imagine there are plenty of other made-up trampoline games.
