January Work Travel

In which Bob travels to Alabama, Mississippi, Maryland, Oklahoma and Texas between January 8 and 17

APOCALYPTIC

A typical destination for Auditor Bob.

CO-CONSPIRATORS

Rebecca and Erin retrieved Bob from the airport and chauffeured him to work sites.

SIDE TRIP

Work doesn’t have to be all-consuming. This is the mantra of the day. Happily, Rebecca and Erin agreed to stop at a museum featuring artifacts from the lives of literary greats Truman Capote and Harper Lee.

MONROE COUNTY MUSEUM

Harper Lee used the Monroe County Courthouse as the model for the courtroom scenes in her novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.

A FAITHFUL FILM REPRODUCTION

Universal pictures did a great job of replicating the courthouse in the 1962 film starring Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch.

TRUMAN CAPOTE

Bob has been reading Capotes short stories, so it was fun to see his cap and his Aunt Sook’s hand-sewn coat of many colors.
