A vibrant new family moved into our neighborhood in July and Camille was on hand to capture one of the big moving days – July 22, 2015
MUST HAVES
This will be a home with music and pets. The piano was a major challenge but their two Boston Bulls just walked into their new life at The Bend.
ANOTHER MUST-HAVE
When you move from a farm, you often travel Clampett-style with your own outhouse. Again, unloading this beast required group cooperation.
SITED
Everyone takes a moment to admire their accomplishment before launching into the next challenge.
ANIMALS
They brought rabbits, chickens and pigs. Joe, Noah and Eli bustled about setting up the new barnyard.
CHICKEN TRACTORS
If you have not heard of chicken tractors, they are mobile cages which can be moved by hand or tractor so that the chickens continually forage on new ground.
RELEASE!
It soon became evident why Joe was rushing to set up the animal pens. These birds had been caged and on the road for hours and ready for a cool drink.
BEAUTIFUL BUFFS
Not sure what breed of chicken these are, but they are beautiful. Noah handles them with expertise and grace.
FROM CHICKENS TO RABBITS
As soon as the chickens were released into their new home, it was time to hustle over with the rabbit hutch.
BUNNIES
Joe handles the rabbits with care, grasping their hind feet to protect himself and cradling them in his arm. They were soon all settled into their new home.
HOME!
Chris, Amie, Alisa, Eden, George (the African Grey), and Noah are all very happy to have made the big transition from their old place to their new home. They have a few more things to fetch and then can truly settle into the rhythms of life at The Bend. We neighbors are all very excited and looking forward to learning more about our fascinating new friends.
