TUMBLING AROUND ON THE LAWN 

Or, IF YOU MOW IT, THEY WILL COME

OUR AWESOME FRIENDS

   

Jack and Adah demonstrate strength, balance, coordination and timing with handstands on the lawn outside Camelina.  Lacking these qualities, Camille grabbed the camera and took some pictures.

 

ENTER HARUKA

 

Who, upon arrival, put down her backpack and began stretching so as to join the fun.  A few moments later, she was working on her handstands.  Notice both feet are off the ground.

Bob snagged Jason for a stroll through our garden, Guantanamo.  I say 'Our Garden" because Bob grows it and I cook it.  Jason and Haruka are farmers and Bob is always on the lookout for constructive advice regarding his vegetables.

 

CARTWHEELS

   

Within minutes, Haruka and Adah, fourteen years her junior, were doing synchronized cartwheels across the lawn.

 

HEADSTANDS, TOO

 

Haruka has great balance and form.  It amazes me that Jack, Adah and Haruka work long days on the farm and still have energy for handstands, cartwheels, and headstands.

 

THE DAY ISN'T OVER YET

After all that fun, we went inside to prepare food for potluck.
